This is a quilt I did back in 1977 at a little village where we lived called Harrington, near Stratford, Ontario. I thought it would be easy to just buy a sheet with a design and quilt it. As I soon learned, sheets are harder to needle than cotton and my fingers soon payed for it.Then I had a bright idea to have a quilting party. Lot`s of people came, but not all were experienced. My Mom got down under the quilt every night and found that a lady had done a not bad job of stitching evenly but hadn`t pulled her knots all the way through. So Mom pulled out all her stitching and redid it. It was all Mom could to get down on the floor and then to get up, but she did it every night and loved the look of the newly done stitches.- Fond Memories
